Solid Waste Services - Commercial Services
The City of Waco offers solid waste and recycling services for businesses in Waco. A variety of services are offered and options are available to fit your needs. Your business may also benefit from recycling through reduced disposal costs, increased operational efficiency, and increased employee awareness of solid waste issues.
Solid Waste Services
- We have front load dumpsters in 3, 4, 6, and 8 cy sizes.
- We also have roll-off containers in 20, 30, and 40 cy sizes.
- We offer on a request basis compactor and quick-pack container options.
- Frequency of service can be tied to your needs.

Recycling Services
The City of Waco Solid Waste Services offers the following options for recycling of paper products:
- Corrugated cardboard service via special dumpsters, compactors, or roll-off containers
- Mixed paper collection with 90 gallon wheeled carts in a limited service area
- Drop-off centers for recycling of all paper types
Other items that can be recycled from businesses:
- Aluminum cans (drop-off only except for large quantities)
- Mixed metals (roll-off containers only)

Educational Programs
The City of Waco Recycling Division offers educational programs on a variety of solid waste issues. These programs are free of charge and can be tailored to group size and needs. Call Recycling at 751-8561 to arrange for an educational presentation.

Roll-Off Containers
Roll-off containers are large, open top, rectangular containers for holding trash, debris, brush and other non-food waste. There is a fee for container use, dependent upon the size of the container and the amount of use.
Container Sizes
- 10, 13, 20, 30, or 40 cubic yard
- 3 cubic yards is approximately the size of the bed of a standard sized pickup truck.
Container Loading
- Load ONLY to the top (rim) of the container.
- Any debris above the rim will have to be removed for tarping prior to transport.
- Maximum size roll-off container for roofing material is 20 cubic yards due to the weight of the material
- Debris above the roll-off container rim must be removed by the user so that the container can be hauled safely.
- There will be an additional charge of $150.00 for servicing overloaded containers.
- Tires will not be allowed in roll-off containers
Container Contents
Waste that is not allowed:
- Paint, liquid waste, pesticides, motor oil, batteries, etc.
- Kitchen garbage
- Dirt, concrete, land clearings
Container Location
- Container must be placed on firm, stable ground or surface
- Location must be accessible by truck without obstructions
- Free of overhead obstructions
- Cannot be placed on a city street
Securing a Container
- Must sign a temporary release of liability and arrange for billing at the City of Waco City Hall - Fiscal Services, Water Office, Landfill, or at the Solid Waste Administration Office.
