Dean Highland Neighborhood Association
The Dean-Highland Neighborhod Association's purpose is to foster and promote a genuinely strong sense of cooperation, teamwork and neighborliness between residents in the Dean-Highland area of Waco, Texas and to also assist and encourage the restoration, preservation, and improvement of the entire Dean-Highland area.
Membership in the Association is open to anyone living within the Dean-Highland Neighborhood or operating a business within the area who has an interest in the goals and objectives of the association. Our members include BU students, young families, and established older adults. There are many ways to get involved and there's a place for everyone.
Meeting Schedule & Location:
DHNA General Meetings are monthly on the 1st Monday, 7 PM, @ 3020 Maple Avenue, Annex Building of Highland Baptist Church.

Dean Highland is a quiet neighborhood with charm, character, and a great sense of friendship and community. The tree-lined streets and beautiful old homes are in a convenient central location with very little commercial activity.
Purposes/Goals of NA:
The Dean-Highland Neighborhood Association's (DHNA) purposes are to promote cooperation, teamwork and friendship among residents and to assist and encourage the preservation, restoration, and improvement of the Dean-Highland neighborhood.
Membership in DHNA is open to anyone living, or operating a business, in the Dean-Highland Neighborhood area who has an interest in the goals and objectives of the Association. There are many ways to get involved and there's a place for everyone. We welcome your participation and ideas to make our neighborhood even better. Annual dues are $15 for a household or $25 for a business €“ our members include BU students, young families, and older adults. To become a member just send our Treasurer a check made out to Dean Highland Neighborhood Association (please write Membership dues in the subject line).
Currently the Dean Highland Neighborhood Association is working with City of Waco and Hillcrest Health System to develop another green space for the neighborhood. DHNA hosts major clean-up events for the area, and National Night Out to combat crime. In April 2009 DHNA hosted a public forum on the future of North Waco in response to Hillcrest Health System's move from the neighborhood.
