Patricia (Trish) Ervin

Patricia (Trish) Ervin was appointed City Secretary on February 28, 1997. Prior to becoming City Secretary, she served as Assistant City Secretary for 15 years.

The City Secretary's Office provides citizens with information and implements requests for city services; attends and prepares official minutes of the city council meetings, conducts city elections, coordinates boards and commissions, various licenses and permits, directs the function of the City Switchboard/Information Desk, and oversees the Records Management Program.

Trish received her certification from University of North Texas through the Texas Municipal Clerks Association, Inc. in January 1992 and recertification in January 1998 and January 2003. She is served four years as trustee of the TMCA, Inc. Executive Board of Directors and is currently serving as Treasurer. Trish has also served as a past member of the Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Committee, past President and current member of the Central Texas Chapter of Municipal Clerks, past member of the Capital Chapter of Municipal Clerks, a member of International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), and a member of the Association of Record Managers and Administrators (ARMA).

Trish is active in civic and community organizations, including coordinating and participating in church activities.

Trish takes pride in her work and strives to enhance the welfare of the City of Waco by providing professional and efficient service to the citizens of Waco. She and her husband, George Sr. have two children, Banika and George Jr and a goddaughter, Laikyn Degrate.
