HIGHLIGHTS
OF THE JULY MEETING
President Bill Miller called the meeting to order at 6:20 pm at
The Woods pool. A quorum was declared with 15 members and 8 guests
present. New members Peggy and Jim Skinner were welcomed.
The minutes of the April 17 meeting were approved as well as the
treasurer's report.
Wincie Cannon distributed copies of the Waco PD picture cards
that Landon Branch contributed for use by officers. The card features
Officer Ray Wood-ruff and K-9 Perro. Officer Woodruff will hand
out cards to citizens, especially children. LBNA will receive a
plaque from Waco PD for this contribution. Cannon also reported
on a presentation by a Post Office supervisor about mail fraud.

President Miller reported that he had sprayed for unsightly weeds
at the entry to Greenleaf Peninsula.
National Night Out will be celebrated this year on Oct. 7 rather
than in August. This is an experiment for Texas only to avoid the
heat and increase attendance. Bill and Martha Sue Miller will again
host LBNA on their barge at Ridgewood CC Marina. We will meet at
6:30 and sail at 7:00.
A special thanks was given to former president Trey Miller, who
prepared the hot-dogs and brought the food. It was good to see him
and his family. Several LBNA members also provided food. The meeting
adjourned at 6:30 for food and swimming.
DIRECTIONS TO BARGE
The meeting announcement for the October meeting will include directions
to the Ridgewood Country Club Marina. Be sure to bring a flashlight
to signal the police helicopter.
