Appointed Officials

Four employees of the City of Waco--the City Manager, the City Attorney, City Secretary and Municipal Court Judge--are appointed by the City Council. Each may be appointed for terms not to exceed four years with the exception of the Municipal Court Judge, whose term is for two years. All are eligible for reappointment and each is responsible for hiring staff members for his/her department.
