Respectful Workplace Training

Respectful Workplace training is a two-hour session designed to assist employees in understanding what aspects are involved in creating a workplace where all employees feel accepted and valued. The training helps to identify those destructive and negative behaviors we might see in others and ourselves as they relate to cultivating a respectful workplace and preventing harassment. The City's policy on harassment is reviewed so that all employees understand what is and is not acceptable behavior in the workplace. Respectful Workplace training is offered to all new hires following orientation and twice a month to all other employees.

New Hire Orientation

Orientation is required training for all new employees within the first 60 days of their employment. Orientation is designed to welcome employees to the organization, introduce them to the City's form of management, and provide them with valuable information on benefits, the retirement system, compensation, risk management, etc. Orientation is scheduled twice a month.
