Philly Steak Sandwich
Ingredients
1 pound Shaved roast beef (lean, from the deli)
1 Green pepper
4-8 slices Onion
1/2 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
4 Hoagie buns
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Thinly slice the onions and green peppers. (Slice the onion rings so that they are in strips. Use onion as desired.)
- Slice hoagie buns (like a hot dog bun).
- Spray pan with non-stick spray.
- Over medium heat, saute onions and green peppers (about 3-5 minutes).
- As they start to soften, add the beef and saute for additional 2-3 minutes.
- Spray baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Evenly divide the meat, onions and peppers into the buns.
- Place in baking dish.
- Top each bun with 2 tablespoons of cheddar cheese.
- Place in oven for 2-4 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
