Thank You

The City of Waco and our Housing & Community Development Services
Department along with Waco Habitat would like to sincerely thank
you for your unselfish dedication in building another quality affordable
Habitat house.
Thank you for your willingness to donate your time and “hands
on” talents to provide the needed labor to make this house not only
attractive, but affordable for the Joiner family; a testament of
how caring Waco City staff is. Each year, I am humbled at the way
our City employees come out and help.
I would also like to especially thank our City Manager, Larry
Groth and Assistant City Manager, Joe Mayfield for their continued
leadership each year with this project. Larry and Joe were the first
two to volunteer this year.
Another special thanks to our Utility and Parks departments for
providing numerous employees to this year’s event. We would also
like to thank the Firemen from Fire Station 3 and Fire Station 8
for bringing their fire trucks and helping build this house.
I would also like to extend my thanks to the City Council and
especially Council Member Rick Allen and Mayor Virginia DuPuy for
their full support of this worthwhile project.
Thanks to each of you, the Joiner family will now have a safe
and decent place that is affordable to call “home.”
Thanks again!
Jeff Wall, Director
Housing & Community Development Services
