Beginning in February, the City of Waco is participating in
the Great Texas Warrant Round-up along with more than 150 other
entities across the state of Texas including Amarillo, Abilene,
Austin, Brenham, Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Hewitt, Houston
Metroplex, Marble Falls, Midland, San Angelo, San Marcos and
many other cities in between.
If you have an outstanding fine with any of these law enforcement
agencies in the state of Texas, a warrant may be pending for
your arrest.
The Waco Police Department will join forces with other law
enforcement agencies to actively search for those who have failed
to pay their fines and will arrest them at home, place of business
or wherever they may be found. To avoid being arrested and
loss of rights for renewal of a driver’s license, citizens must
act immediately and pay their fines.
For information regarding the Great Texas Warrant Round-up,
visit the City of Waco Web site at www.waco-texas.com
and select Municipal Court. If you know you have an outstanding
traffic warrant, you can appear at the City of Waco Municipal
Court, 201 W. Waco Dr., or call 750-5900 for information on
how and where to pay the fine.
You will not be arrested when you appear at the City of Waco
Municipal Court to dispose of your outstanding fine.
