1st Annual Climate Change Art Exhibit: The Art of Survival

The Waco Friends of Peace/Climate will present a "Climate Change Art Exhibit: The Art of Survival", from Sept. 1 until Sept. 30, at Food for Thought restaurant, 1121 Speight Ave, Waco. The hours are 10am until 9pm, Tuesday through Sunday. The exhibit will emphasize the impacts and existential threat of anthropogenic climate change, along with solutions. Stilettos to Stetsons: Women on the Trail

Janice Grelle, female cattle rancher, details the true story of how a British schoolteacher became a Texas cattle rancher and how women navigated the cattle drives on the Chisholm Trail. Grelle’s book, Stilettos to Stetsons, will be available for purchase and signed. Admittance to the lecture is free for members and included in general admission for the public ($8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $6 for children).
