Waco Police Memorial Run

The Police Memorial Run is held each year to commemorate officers killed in the line of duty and to recognize the daily commitment of our officers to our community and Nation. This is a family event that consists of a 5K and 10K run, starting and ending at Brazos Park East. This will be a chipped race! Refreshments will be provided. Race is hosted by the Waco Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, along with the assistance of Waco Striders Running Club and RRCA. Military Personnel Admitted Free ALL Memorial Day Weekend at Hawaiian Falls

Hawaiian Falls will offer free admission to all military personnel at its Texas water parks in Garland, The Colony, Mansfield, Roanoke and Waco from 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Memorial Day weekend – Saturday, May 27; Sunday, May 28; or Monday, May 29. All immediate family members can purchase their day pass for a discounted price of $21.99. “We’re grateful for the brave servicemen and women who sacrifice so much to protect our freedoms,” said Hawaiian Falls CEO Clint Hill. “Because of their vigilance, we can enjoy a fun, carefree summer with family and friends. We’re not going to embarrass them or bore them with long speeches or ceremonies. We just want to provide them a day to relax and have fun at our water parks.” To participate, individuals just need to show a valid military ID at the ticket window. This free admission applies to one individual admission for a military member on Saturday, May 27; Sunday, May 28; or Monday, May 29, 2017 only and cannot be combined with any other offers. Celebrating 15 years of bringing families closer together, Hawaiian Falls operates water parks in Garland, The Colony, Mansfield, Roanoke and Waco. The water parks will open to the public 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27th for the 2017 summer season. Dating the Old Homestead : Tips and Tricks from a Professional

Learn how to develop a timeline of ownership and use for old buildings using permits and other documents. Join us June 12 – August 11 as we make, tinker, and create around different themes in Design Den! Some activities in Design Den will be provided for all ages, while other activities will require that participants are 8 years old or older. Celebrate National Flip Flop Day at Hawaiian Falls with discounted tickets

Donate a pair of new flip flops or shoes to Hawaiian Falls on Friday, June 16, and get in for the kids’ admission price - $21.99. Everybody…kids from ages 3 – 100… gets in for the kids’ price with a pair of flip flops or shoes. (Kids 2 and under always get free admission.)
