Job Title:      Foundation Manager, Waco Mammoth Foundation
Status:         Part-time Hourly (starting at 10 hours per week / $20/hour)
Supervisor:  Chair of Board of Directors for Waco Mammoth Foundation

The Waco Mammoth Foundation is a growing organization. After helping to raise the funds needed to protect and showcase a world class collection of mammoth fossils, the Foundation worked with the City of Waco, Baylor University and the National Park Conservation Association to achieve its dream, the designation of the mammoth site as Waco Mammoth National Monument. The Mission of the Foundation is to support Waco Mammoth National Monument, and as a growing organization, the Foundation is seeking to hire its first employee.

The Foundation Manager is responsible for working on strategic priorities as set by the Board of Directors, organizing all Board meetings, and keeping accurate records for all Board activities. The Foundation Manager is a motivated, organized, and inspirational person. This position will start at 10 hours per week maximum. The hours are expected to increase as the activities of the Foundation grow.

Primary duties and responsibilities
• Work with the Executive Committee of the Board to set bi-monthly meeting agendas, organize logistics for meetings, send out meeting notices with previous meeting’s minutes to Board members, take meeting minutes at Board meetings, and keep detailed records of all Board meetings.
• Develop a membership program in conjunction with the Board Communications Committee, and manage all aspects of membership.
• Maintain the Foundation website.
• Answer questions from the public concerning Foundation business.
• Communicate regularly with National Park Service, City of Waco, and Baylor University partners concerning upcoming programs.
• Make weekly bank deposits, collecting donations from Waco Mammoth National Monument donation box and Post Office Box.
• Make monthly financial reports to Board Treasurer.
• Support subcommittees of the Board (currently Communications, Development, Executive Committee and Finance)
• Keep detailed records of monthly activities and submit a monthly activities report to the President of the Board.

Qualifications
The Foundation Manager will have the following qualifications:
• Relevant experience, including managerial and non-profit experience
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Experience working successfully with a Board of Directors and other volunteers
• Ability to develop and manage an annual budget
• Proven ability to set priorities and keep an organization running smoothly
• Keen analytical problem-solving and decision making skills
• Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide variety of groups, people and interests
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to attract supporters by communicating a compelling and inspired sense of purpose
• Excellent organizing, analytical, presentation and communication skills, ability to write/speak concisely and persuasively
• Experience using common software for office and website applications
