Teen Tech Week / Spring Break Event

Heroes Conquer Simple Machines

Wednesday March 11 from 2 - 4:30 PM @ Central Library

For ages 11 - 17 - Teens and Tweens

Join a Team, Create a Simple Machine, and then Demonstrate it

Machines will be either a motorized Lego Kit which will be programmed on a Laptop, or will be made with found objects provided by the Library.

Come in and Join us in using Science to have FUN!

Registration for this program is REQUIRED as there are only 20 spots available!

This 'Bots & Books' project is funded through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library.

Teen Chess Lessons -

 Chess Lessons every Saturday, in the Teen Room at Central Library from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Chess lessons are aimed at beginning and intermediate level teen players (ages 10-17). Volunteer Jeff Spyrison is the Chess Tutor.

Sign up to attend the monthly Minecraft Club!

For Ages 11 - 17

We have a Realms Account – so we will be building our own virtual world! We’ll plan projects, get started mining for resources and building structures, farms, and more! Play minigames, create challenges to overcome, and have loads of fun fighting off zombies, creepers, spiders, and more! Light Snacks Provided.

Our Next Meeting: Saturday, March 21, Central Library (lower level) 2-4 pm

We encourage you to bring your own laptop or device and login with your own account if you have one – the Library will have a limited number of computers for participants to use.

Teen Anime Club

The Teen Anime Club meets the second Thursday of each month - September thru May, at the West Waco Library from 7:00 - 8:30.

Next Meetings:

Thursday, March 12 in the Meeting Room: "Watch Anime!"
