“Famous Wacoans” at the Genealogy Center.
What do former Texas Governor Mark White, country singer Pat Green, Olympic winner Michael Johnson and news anchor Ann Harder have in common? They all attended school in Waco and are widely recognized as famous Wacoans.
The Genealogy Center at the West Waco Library & Genealogy Center (5301 Bosque Blvd., Suite 275) has installed in their display case a second series of “Famous Wacoans.”
The display showcases the Genealogy Center’s yearbook collection by presenting school yearbook entries and a brief biography of 12 famous Wacoans. Also included are Angela Kinsley, Pat Neff, Wyatt Heard, Rufus Burleson, Bill Logue, Austin Scott, David Murphy, and Hank Thompson.
The display is open during regular library hours and will be up through the end of April 2011. For more information call the Center at 750-5945.
