 West Waco Library is opening soon...

R.B. Hoover Library will be closed on Monday, August 23. The new West Waco Library & Genealogy Center will be opening in late September. Stay tuned for more information and events!

 

If you have materials on hold or on request for pickup at Hoover, they will be transferred to Central Library. To change pickup location or cancel a request, please call Reference at 750-5944.  You may also suspend a hold, if you wish. Here's a brief set of instructions (in PDF).

Valueline

The Value Line Investment Survey is one of the most widely used independent investment information services in the world. Its up-to-date, weekly issues are also a comprehensive reference that has something useful for virtually every investor. In breadth of coverage it is encyclopedic, covering some 1,700 equity issues.

To use Valueline from home, you will need to have a library card number and PIN. When you select this database, you will be prompted to enter your numbers. If you have any questions or need help, please call 750-5944 or email for assistance.

 

Powerspeak

This database is brand new to the Waco Library System! You can now study foreign languages FOR FREE from the Library. Languages available for study at this time include SPANISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, MANDARIN, and ESL (English as a Second Language) for Spanish Speakers.

Powerspeak uses powerful new language learning techniques including language immersion and interaction that are only available in online learning environments. Create your account today and begin learning immediately.

To use Powerspeak, you do need to have a Library Card Number and PIN. When you select this database from our list, you will be prompted to enter your numbers. Once you do, you will have full access to the database, and will be able to create your own personal learning account.
