Public Forums for Seniors and their Caregivers
Designed to meet the legal needs of many seniors and their caregivers
in such matters as Medical and Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Directives,
Guardianships, and navigating the Medicare system. These forums are being
presented through a collaborative effort by the Legal Assistance Project,
the HOT AAA, Friends for Life, and the law firm of Rainey & Rainey, LLP.
All information will be presented in an easily accessible group format
designed to help both seniors and their caregivers through the sometimes
overwhelming decision-making process involved in long term-care planning.
Technical support in the preparation of needed documents will be available
through the Legal Assistance Project.

Museum Association of Waco Summer Camp
June 16th - 20th
For children grades 4-6
Join us as we explore our past by looking at the footsteps of those who
have lived, worked, and influenced Central Texas. Walk in the footsteps
of a Ranger, a train engineer, an entrepeneur, an athlete or a naturalist
while enjoying crafts, games and activities. Each day will be unique as
we explore many of the wonderful attractions located in Waco. Such Attractions
include: The Texas Sports Hall of Fame, the Mayborn Museum Complex, the
Texas ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, the Dr Pepper Museum, the Cameron
Park Zoo, the Wetlands, and the Texas Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame.
The week long session costs $100 per child, excluding lunch (children
will bring their own sack lunch each day. Registration is currently open.
Need-based scholarships are available. Check the Texas Ranger Hall of
Fame and Museum website for more information, and registration forms.

The Mayborn Museum Complex is bringing the world to Waco in conjunction
with our summer exhibit National Geographic MAPS: Tools for Adventure.
Each Worldwide Wednesday will explore a different continent through a
full day of fun events and activities. Visit the Mayborn on June 18 and
experience music, stories, and traditions from the amazing continent of
Africa! This event is included in museum admission: adults $6; seniors
(65+) $5, children (18mo-12yr) $4, members and Baylor students are FREE.
