WiFi at the Library

Free Wireless Access to the Internet is available
at all Waco-McLennan County Library locations

Wireless service is provided through "Less Networks" and is free to all library patrons and visitors.

Patrons in the Library or on Library grounds using the Library's wireless access are expected to abide by the Library's Internet Use Policy.

Instructions on how to establish your Free WiFi account are provided below:

Connecting to the Library Wireless Network Connecting:

Connect to the library (for example, at Central users can select "Waco Library" on the first floor and "Library 2" if they are on the genealogy level.)
Open a browser window.
The "Less Networks Free WiFi" profile page should be the first page to load.
- a. If you have not created an account, you will need to do so at this time. A confirmation email will be sent and users will have 10 minutes to confirm that email.
- b. If you have created an account, you can log on at this time. Currently, internet time is set in one hour increments.
After logging in, you are redirected to the library homepage and there is a small banner ad for Less Networks Free WiFi across the top.
You can now access the internet.

Retrieving forgotten passwords:

Users can request their passwords on the login page. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the same email address used at signup and users will have 10 minutes to check that email for the confirmation and select a new password.

Timing out:

At this time, no warning is given when patrons time out. To reconnect: Open a new browser window to re-log on. Then return to the primary browser window and hit the back button to return to what you were doing when you were logged out.
