What is a NetLibrary eBook?
An eBook is digital work of fiction or non-fiction that can
be viewed using a computer connected to the Internet. You can
access the library's collection of eBooks 24 hours a day, seven
days a week by searching the library's online
catalog. NetLibrary eBooks will have a notation saying they
are an electronic resource. To access the ebook, click on the
NetLibrary link found in the catalog record.
You can browse NetLibrary eBooks for quick research and reference
or check them out for a 24-hour period. Items are automatically
returned at the end of your checkout period.
What kinds of eBooks are available at NetLibrary?
The NetLibrary eBook collection includes more than 28,000 eBooks
from the world's leading business, technology, trade, reference,
academic, and scholarly publishers and are available for browsing,
searching, and check-out. This collection is made possible through
the Texas State Library's Texshare program.
How does it work?
First time users will need to create a NetLibrary User Account
from a computer at any Waco-McLennan County Library. This account
must be created at the library so that NetLibrary will recognize
you as a Waco-McLennan County Library patron in the future.
Once you have registered for a NetLibrary Account at the Library,
you will be able to access NetLibrary e-Books from a computer
at home or work using your username and password.
