Angel Paws "Reading Buddies"

Central Library

Monday, June 2 and 9 starting at 6:30 pm

Wednesdays, June 4 - July 30
from 10:30 - Noon

Read to one of our special animal-assistance therapy dogs and make a four-legged, furry friend! This is a great self-esteem booster for reluctant readers and an extra treat for dog-lovers!

Reading skills improve when kids read to dogs and learning while having fun is what makes the program successful. Children are more willing to read to dogs because kids who stumble over new words know their furry friends won't make fun of them!

These trained therapy dogs and handlers are from Angel Paws, an animal-assisted service organization. The dogs must be mild mannered, know basic obedience commands, and enjoy meeting new people.

Call 750-5942 for more information or to schedule a 20-minute session with your READING BUDDY.
