"To Be or Not To Be a Nonprofit" TrainingThe Grants Resource Center at the Waco-McLennan County Library, 1717 Austin Avenue, in collaboration with the Waco Foundation Capacity Building Program are hosting a free workshop on Tuesday, June 23 from noon until 1:15 p.m. at the Central Library's meeting room. The program for potential nonprofit founders provides information to take you step-by-step through the thinking, planning and arranging that have to occur before applying to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Topics include developing evidence of need before you start, the first board, start-up checklist and funding your potential nonprofit. The Grants Resource Center is a 'Cooperating Collection' of the Foundation Center of New York. Tihara A. Vargas, Director of Special Projects of the Waco Foundation, will be leading the discussion.
