The Friends of the Waco McLennan County
Library are caring citizens who believe in the concept of
a public library that is open to all and who realize that
a free library system cannot survive without supplementary
funding and volunteers. The Friends organization
exists to improve the quality of life in the community through
its support of the Waco-McLennan County Library System.
For more information on joining Friends
or to volunteer, call (254) 750-5974.

How do the
Friends Allocate Funds?

projects funded by the Friends included:
- Performers for the Children's Summer Programs
- $25,000 for books and other materials for all four libraries
- Sponsorship of One Book, One Waco
- Furniture and Equipment at all four libraries
