Books and Literary Criticism

Books in Print:
Find out what books, videos and audiobooks are in print and available for purchase. Search by title, author or subject, or browse by category. Both in-print and forthcoming items are indexed.

Fictionconnection:
Search for fiction and biographies by subject, character, genre, time period. Look for books that are "like" the ones you love - for the reasons you love them. Updated monthly with new titles, and goes back to 1997, with some older coverage for popular authors and series.

Gale Literature Databases:
Includes Contemporary Literary Criticism, Dictionary of Literary Biography, and Contemporary Authors. Perfect for High School and College level literary research.

Literature Resource Center:
Includes biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Combining Gale's most-used literary databases in a single online service, the Literature Resource Center covers more than 121,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers such as philosophers, filmmakers, and anthropologies

NetLibrary:
A collection of Electronic books (books that can be viewed online on a computer) and E-audiobooks. E-audiobooks are available for download to your mp3 player or computer. NetLibrary books are also searchable and accessible through the library catalog. You can access your library's eContent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Twentieth Century Poetry:
Offers online access to the poetry of some of the greatest writers of the twentieth century. It incorporates the works of the most widely studied poets of the British Isles, and of the Americas. In addition, many contemporary writers are also represented.

Worldcat:
A Catalog of Library Catalogs, it is the world's largest library holdings database of books, journals, and other materials held by thousands of libraries in the United States and other countries. WORLDCAT is used to initiate interlibrary loan requests, to verify citations, and to gather information for subsequent searching in other sources.
