To provide and promote quality "customer service" and facilitate support services to the Citizens, City Council, and City Staff.
About our Office
The City Secretary is responsible for assisting citizens, council and staff, provide administrative support by attending all meetings of the city council; preparation of minutes; indexing and retrieving official records; coordinating city elections, boards and commissions, coordinating contracts and agreements, issuing various licenses and permits, partner with Waco Central Call Center in receiving and responding to requests for services or information, and coordinate the operations of the Information Desk/Switchboard and the Records Management Program. |
Information Desk/City Switchboard
Provides a representative to answer all incoming calls to the main phone number of the City, answers questions, direct visitors; public notary services, bilingual services, and partnerships with various city departments in office staffing to provide a wide variety of cross training in departmental areas.
Records Center
Provides a full service center of reference and research services, document retrieval, coordinating microfilm, inventory and destruction of inactive records, and management of archival records, technical reports and historical mementos.
