Meet
Toby

ID: C08-001594
Toby here, and I'm back at the shelter. I had a home
for five months, then something tragedy struck, and I am back at
the shelter where I spent 3 months last summer. I was so happy when
I finally got a home, and now I'm homeless again. Could you be my
forever home?

Meet London

ID: CC08-000628
628, that is my number at the WHS. That means I
am the 628th animal to be turned into the shelter this year. We
are now to #1938, and I am still here. That means over 1300 animals
have come and gone while I've waited week after week like a good
little girl. Could this be my lucky day?

Meet
Zoe

ID: F08-001760
It's cat season, and I am one of several homeless
gray tabbies. Barely past kittenhood, and with no family or home,
I need an angel to take me home from the shelter. Can you be my
angel?

Meet
Colby
ID: F08-001425
I'm Colby, an orange Maine Coon. I like attention
very much, but I am not so fond of barking dogs, the latter of which
is plentiful at the shelter. Can you help me out?

Meet
Chelsea

ID: C07-012405
My name is Chelsea, but some people call me Sweet Pea. My owner
couldn't afford the pet deposit for two dogs, so she had to choose.
I had a 50/50 chance, but I lost. That was back on November 21st,
2007! She thought it was best that I found another home, because
she just didn't have the time to deal with my "handicap". I'm not
sure what she meant, because I am beautiful and smart, I LOVE to
fetch, and I can leap very high without so much as a running start.
I can even walk around off leash without running away. What more
could anyone want in a girl?
Apparently not being able to hear is a big deal for some people.
See, I am what is called a "Lethal White" Australian Shepherd. It's
not actually lethal at all. It just means that because someone bred
my parents, who were both merle, a couple of my siblings and I were
born mostly white and with either hearing or vision defects. I can't
hear, but I watch a lot and have learned lots of tricks to understand
the world around me. Even without my hearing I can understand love.
For months I have been passed from the shelter to different foster
homes to countless adoption events waiting for the moment someone
will give me a chance to be a part of their family. Because of my
loving foster parents, I am totally housetrained, and very good
with children. All this, and I'm only 10 months old! Other dogs
are slightly scary to me at first, because I can't hear them coming,
but I make pretty fast friends, and I would love another dog to
run and play with. I also really like cats, and I'm not too rough
with them. I know in my heart that there is someone out there for
me. Could you be that person?
