U P D A T E: Construction on the West Waco Library & Genealogy Center was complete in September 2010.
Work is scheduled to begin on the Central Library renovation in 2011 and take approximately 18 months.
Background on the Bond Election
On May 12, 2007, citizens of Waco approved the six bond propositions listed below totaling $63 million. Due to favorable market pricing and the city's excellent bond and financial reputation, the bonds were purchased at a low 4.615326%.
Each of the six projects are accounted for in separate capital project funds. As these projects develop, these designated funds (plus interest earned) will be used exclusively for the bond projects as voted by citizens.
