An important message about new screening procedures...
Welcome to the Waco Regional Airport
Waco is located 90 miles north of Austin, the Texas state capital, and 90 miles south of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Waco Regional Airport is critical to air travel for this region, offering great convenience for travelers to and from Central Texas. Our passengers are able to avoid the stress of driving more than an hour to the airports located at DFW, Austin or Killeen, and the difficult, often expensive task of parking. Our airport offers free parking within a few short yards of the terminal.
Waco Regional Airport has taken great strides in improving the facility for our passengers. The terminal has been expanded to comfortably accommodate three separate passenger gates. In addition, two passenger boarding bridges have been constructed, and improvements to the runway, runway facilities, and the runway safety area are ongoing. These and other projects were funded through both the Airport Improvement Projects Fund, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Waco is a city brimming with Texas history, economic opportunity, and a rich variety of cultural experiences. With three college facilities including Baylor University, Texas State Technical College, and McLennan Community College, Waco is also a seat of higher learning. The city boasts one of the most beautiful municipal parks in the nation, situated on the Brazos and Bosque Rivers, and at least 18 museums and attractions for visitors to explore.
