CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

A fun family event that KWB has sponsored each year to kick-off the holiday season through the annual lighting of the community Christmas tree in Heritage Square. Mr. and Mrs. Claus are always present to enjoy the festivities.

JOHN E. DAVIS MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC

This golf tournament is KWB's annual fund raiser held at a local golf course. Various sponsorship levels are sold and teams compete for great prizes donated by local businesses. The tournament helps support KWB's environmental and beautification efforts throughout the year.

 
BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAMS

BRAZOS RIVER CLEANUP

A litter cleanup program geared towards making Waco's Brazos River banks cleaner by picking up trash and debris. Volunteers can clean up on foot or by kayak or canoe.

ADOPT-A-PARK/SPOT/STREET

Unlimited opportunities for clubs, schools, businesses or individuals to adopt small parts of town for the purpose of keeping them litter free. [Read More]

Lake Waco

 

LAKE WACO CLEANUP - APRIL 2nd

Annual event guided by the Corps of Engineers to clean up the shores of Lake Waco and the roads leading to them.

Keep Waco Beautiful, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Waco are sponsoring the Lake Waco Environmental & Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 2nd from 9:00 a.m. - Noon. Volunteers should meet at the Speegleville III Park (just past the Twin Bridges on Hwy. 6) near the Pavilion.

Please bring gloves and wear long pants, long sleeves and close-toed shoes. Trash bags and lunch will be provided. For more information call Keep Waco Beautiful at 750-5728 or Corps of Engineers at 756-5359.

PAINT-A-THON

Bi-annual partnership with Baylor's Steppin' Out program where needy homeowners can get their houses painted by ambitious volunteers.

 

NEIGHBORHOOD

Neighborhood associations promote beautification and togetherness with area yard, home, alley and, street cleanups.

 
 

NEIGHBORWOODS

A program whereby free trees are provided to homeowners for the purpose of enhancing property values and residential streets. KWB received a grant from the Texas Forest Service to implement this project.
